I have a teen age daughter and she seems to think that money grows on trees. I have never had to tell her that she could not have something because we have always been able to buy her what she wanted. I was a little worried about what was going to happen when I lost my job. So, I decided that I would tell her that we do not have dollars on demand and that because I lost my job that we were going to have to start cutting down on things for her. I felt bad and I did not know how she was going to react, but she was okay and she told me that she was going to start babysitting to pay for her things.
